NPES India Trade Mission

India 2017 Trade Mission

NPES Trade Mission to India, Mumbai

WHAT Is a Trade Mission?

NPES trade missions offer a proven, cost-effective tool for members to learn first-hand about target export markets. Trade mission participants travel together as a delegation, attend market briefings, participate in site visits and networking receptions, and have one-on-one business matchmaking appointments with pre-screened potential buyers, agents, distributors, and joint venture partners.

WHY India?

  • India is the fastest-growing print packaging market across all segments, growing on average 12.4% per year in local currency terms in 2016-20. Mumbai remains at the center of this economic growth and commercial capital of India.
  • Since 2011, India went from being the 8th largest print packaging market to 5th in 2016. It will pass Germany in 2020, and it will be just $557m behind 3rd-place Japan.
  • In India, the flexible print packaging market is much larger than folding carton. However, the folding carton segment is still sizable because of exports, in particular luxury goods and cigarettes.
